Basic Desire has just released a brand new four track EP. Paulina Caine and Henry Kubik have put together some beautifully crafted electronic music with lush melodies and wonderful silky smooth vocals. The track listing can be found below and all tracks are available as a download from iTunes:

1. Streams of Fears - starts the EP off nicely with an ambient intro and classical vocals that make for a smooth trance track. Hidden behind the electronic beats is the main theme of the song – this being the current situation in the world with the dark clouds of WW III constantly hanging over it.

2. Stranger - looks to carry the upbeat vibe and continues with Basic Desire’s trademark lush melodies and creative use of electronics. This is the one for the dance floor, where the trance music and Paulina’s silky voice seriously make one want to move their body and follow the rhythm.

3. Don't Cry - marks the beginning of the second half of the EP, where everything slows down to bring you a haunting and beautiful love story. The emphasis moves from a more subtle music to very strong lyrics. Paulina delivers them with a sublime feel that builds up throughout the song to a surprising crescendo towards the end.

4. My Awakening - continues the mood from the previous song. This is a wonderful, heartfelt ballad that focuses on expressing feelings long hidden within oneself. The ethereal vocals of Paulina really reach out to the listener through Kubik’s superbly orchestrated music – a characteristic so seldom found in today’s music.
